Our region offers a wide variety of interesting things to do. We've listed some of our favorites here for you. There is something for everyone here in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Hiawassee, GA.

View from nearby hillside...hike or drive...the surrounding area is beautiful.

For starters, you can just stay at Serenity Cove all day if you like. Enjoy the solitude of the property or rent one of our pontoons and go for a ride on the most beautiful lake in our part of the country. There's also fishing from the dock or shore. Lake Chatuge is noted for its great Bass fishing.

For the Hikers...

The Appalachian Trail winds its way near Hiawassee. Two highway crossings lie just about eight miles from the center of town. It is an excellent hike between the two crossings for an overnight stay atop Tray Mountain.

High Shoals Falls is located in the High Shoals Falls Scenic Area and it stands up to its name. The hike is a mile in and a mile out and is an easy to moderate hike. It is a truly beautiful and seemingly remote area. It is suitable for the family but care should be taken on the trails with young children.

Whitewater rafting (35 minutes)...much fun!

Many hiking trails and waterfalls from easy to difficult. We'll help you choose and most are accessable all year

Helen Alpine Village, with its unique shops, & restaurants We are the next town just North of Helen and from here you can avoid the traffic! (20 Minutes)

Tubing down the Chattahoochee River, a great way to spend a hot day with the kids! (20 minutes)

Several great horseback riding places (20 minutes)
All new, the Jack Rabbit Mountain Bike Trails Bring your bicycle! Our you may also hike the trails.(2 minutes) Just down the road from us.

Free 'Concerts on the Square' in Hiawassee, Saturdays April-September as well as several other regularly scheduled concert venues in the area.(5 min.)
